Prof obtained his dental degree and MDS in Paediatric Dentistry from India. He then immigrated to the United Kingdom and obtained his FDSRCS from the Royal College of Surgeons of England and his PhD from University of Leeds. He was appointed Professor and Chair of Child Dental Health at Leeds Dental Institute in 1999 where he oversees a large postgraduate programme in Paediatric Dentistry which has international acclaim. Professor Duggal has published over 130 research papers in international journals and is author of “Restorative Techniques in Paediatric Dentistry, which has been published in 7 languages and has sold over 16,000 copies worldwide. He is also a co-author of a textbook on Dental Traumatology and has Co-Edited “Paediatric Dentistry” by Oxford, now in its 4th edition, and more recently “Paediatric Dentistry at a Glance”, published by Blackwell Willey. He has administered research grants totaling over 6 million pounds and is an internationally recognised researcher and clinician with main research interest is Cariology and Translation Research in Clinical Paediatric Dentistry, including dental traumatology. Apart from Paediatric Dentistry his main interest is playing and watching cricket and any time spare from work and family is devoted to this important activity.
Assoc. Prof. Mawlood Kowash

Mawlood Kowash, BDS (Libya), MDSci, DDSci (Leeds), FRCD (Canada). Dr Kowash received his Dental Degree (BDS) from Benghazi, Libya in 1985, his Master and Doctorate of dental science in Paediatric Dentistry from the University of Leeds, UK in 1993 and 1999 respectively. He became a member (1994) and subsequently a fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada in 1998.
Currently Dr Kowash is working at Dubai College of Dental Medicine (DCDM) as an Associate Professor in Paedaitric Dentistry in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE). DCDM is a post graduate college offering a 3-year Master of Dental Science and a Membership of Edinburgh Royal College in the UK.
Before joining DCDM in September 2013, Dr Kowash was a Consultant Paediatric Dentist at Tawam Hospital in Alain, UAE. He spent over twelve years at Tawam hospital providing dental treatment for young dental patients and also dealt with children with behavior management problems or those with special needs requiring full dental rehabilitation under general anaesthesia. In addition to his clinical duties, he was actively involved in clinical teaching of intern dentists and served as the head of Paediatric dentistry and the Research committee at Tawam Dental Centre.
He has previously worked as an adjunct faculty professor of paediatric dentistry at RAK University, UAE. Dr. Kowash is an examiner for the Licensing examination in Paediatric Dentistry, Abu-Dhabi Health Authority in UAE and an approved lecturer and course-facilitator by the London Royal College of Surgeons. His research interests include prevention and management of early childhood caries and traumatic dental injuries. He has several publications in international dental journals including BDJ and EAPD. In addition, he is a regular guest speaker in national and international dental conference. Dr Kowash is a reviewer for the following journals: EAPD, Dental Traumatology and Oral Rehabilitation.

Dr. Iyad Hussein

Iyad is currently an assistant clinical professor in paediatric dentistry at Hamdan Bin Mohammed College of Dental Medicine (HBMCDM) Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Working closely with postgraduate residents at HBMCDM, Iyad currently treats child dental patients with medical, anxiety related and behavioural special needs in liaison with colleagues from various dental & medical disciplines. The treatment provided covers all aspects of dentistry under local and general anaesthesia in addition to inhalation sedation.
Iyad is also a United Kingdom fully registered dental surgeon (since 1999- GDC No. 77094) and has held the title of “Specialist in Paediatric Dentistry” since 2001. He is also a Member of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow (UK). Before leaving the UK and joining HBMCDM in July 2014, Iyad’s career spanned over 24 years as a dental surgeon in various posts in England and Scotland. He recently spent 16 years at Dundee Dental Hospital and School, University of Dundee, Scotland. He has several scientific publications in international and British dental journals. He is has a personal interest in paediatric oral surgery, periodontology and anxiety management. Having worked in both of Leeds Dental Institute (where he carried out his postgraduate studies) and Dundee Dental Hospital, he became interested in combining the American and British schools of thought when restoring the primary dentition.

Dr Andersson underwent undergraduate and research training at Karolinska Institute in Stockholm, Sweden and became specialist in oral and maxillofacial surgery in 1981. He defended his doctoral dissertation thesis 1988 on experimental and clinical studies on ankylosis and associated root resorption after replantation of teeth and was appointed Docent at Karolinska Institute, Stockholm, Sweden in 1990. In the 90s he chaired a national specialist training program in oral and maxillofacial surgery in Sweden, and belonged to the first generation of implant surgeons; he also ran an international implant training program. Since 2002 he has been professor in oral and maxillofacial surgery at Kuwait University. His main areas of clinical and research interest are trauma, orthognatic and implant surgery and he has published more than hundred articles in international scientific journals. Dr Andersson is editor and chapter author of textbooks in the fields of trauma and oral and maxillofacial surgery. He is currently editor-in-chief of the international scientific journal, Dental Traumatology and past president of the International Association of Dental Traumatology.

Hani completed three years clinical training in Paediatric Dentistry at the University of Leeds in 2008 after which he obtained a Fellowship in Paediatric Dentistry from the Royal College of Dentists in Canada in the same year. He then worked as a Senior Dental Officer in Paediatric Dentistry at Bradford and Airedale Salaried Dental Services between 2008 and 2012. He recently became a member at the royal college of surgeons in England in paediatric dentistry. He is currently doing his consultant training in Paediatric Dentistry at the University of Leeds, School of Dentistry.
Academically, he obtained a PhD in paediatric Dentistry from the University of Leeds School of Dentistry in 2008. In 2012, he was appointed as a NIHR Clinical Lecturer in the paediatric dentistry Department where he is the lead for the 4th year module.
His research interests are in the field of fluoride anticariogenic effect; slow releasing fluoride device, dental plaque, regenerative endodontics and the use of laser Doppler flowmetry. Hani has multiple publications and coauthored book chapters in addition to presenting in several UK national and international conferences.

Has Chaired the Diplomate of the National Board of Examinations several times , examiner to several universities , has guided over 200 post graduate dissertations , been a consultant to industry , is on the editorial board of several prestigious international journals , responsible of setting up the first dedicated evidence based dentistry centre in SE Asia in 2000, on the editorial board of the EBD Journal UK and the European Archives of Pediatric dentistry
He has written and published extensively, is on the editorial board of several prestigious International journals and has a specific interest in Evidence based health care. He has a special interest in Adult Orthodontics , TADS ,Aesthetic Orthodontics and early treatment. Dr. Yasmine Kottait
Dr. Yasmin Kottait is a Pediatric Dentist. She is an Instructor at the European University College (EUC); serves as an editorial board member for the EUC Journal and is part of the curriculum development and work based assessment committees. Yasmin is also a Manager for the Royal College Membership Unit and a Specialist in private practice.
Dr. Kottait holds a MSc degree in Pediatric Dentistry and a Higher Diploma in Pedodontics, Dental Public Health, and Community from Egypt. She was awarded a Diploma of Membership of the Faculty of Dentistry (MFDS) from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, UK, and is currently an MFDS examiner. Prof. Osama El Shahawy

Dr. Osama was graduated from the faculty of oral and dental medicine Cairo University year 1993, then completed his residency program in pediatric dentistry department Cairo University year 1997. He then had his masters degree in pediatric dentistry and dental public health year 1999. And then completed his Phd in Pediatric dentistry from Cairo university year 2004. During this period he worked as a lecturer then associate professor of pediatric dentistry in the same dental school. He published many papers in the field of pediatric dentistry and supervised 22 master degree and 5 Phd thesis for postgraduate students in pediatric dentistry.
Dr Osama lectured in many international conferences held in Egypt and other countries. He did many courses and workshops on full mouth rehab for children under GA, pulp therapy, full ceramic restoration for primary teeth and management of traumatic injuries.
He is now the head of the Pediatric Dentistry Pediatric Future University in Cairo, He is the secretary general of ESPSN (The Egyptian Society of Pediatric Dentistry and Children with Special Needs) which is a member society in IAPD (International Association of Pediatric Dentistry). He was the secretary general of the first international conference of ESPSN held in Cairo Egypt March 2009, and the secretary general of the second international conference of ESPSN to be held in Cairo Egypt March 2012. He is currently a member of EAPD ( The European Academy of Pediatric Dentistry) and the IAPD ( International Association of Pediatric Dentistry).

Prof. Svante Twetman
Svante Twetman is a specialised paediatric dentist and professor of cariology at the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, University of Copenhagen, Denmark. He graduated from the dental school 1974 and holds the PhD and Odont. Dr. degree from Karolinska Institutet, Stockholm, Sweden. He is also consultant at the maxillofacial unit, Halland Hospital in Halmstad, Sweden. The research is focused on fluoride and microbial aspects on oral ecology, biofilms and risk assessment/caries prevention in children and young adults. The research has to a large extent been performed in clinical settings with further studies in the laboratories. Dr. Twetman has authored and co-authored over 200 peer-reviewed papers and lectured in all continents. He is a consultant of The Swedish Council on Health Technology Assessment, processing systematic reviews in medicine and dentistry. Among several awards, he received the IADR distinguished scientist award in 2010, IADR Borrow Award in 2011 and Song-Eum Med-Pharm Award, 2012.Add Description here
